Limiting state employee compensation for testifying against the state.



    AN ACT Relating to limiting state employee compensation for testifying against the state; and adding a new section to chapter 42.52 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 42.52 RCW to read as follows:

    A state employee may not accept compensation for, or be employed outside of his or her employment with the state or an agency of the state for the purpose of, testifying against the state or an agency of the state in a lawsuit against the state or an agency of the state.
