     On page 2, after line 25, insert the following:

A(4) Section 2(3) of this act expires on December 1, 1997.@

EFFECT: The state board of education=s authority to modify the boundaries of school districts according to the provisions of section 2(3) of the proposed striking amendment expires on December 1, 1997.
