     On page 21, line 19, after A1998.@ insert AThe department shall review the medical literature with regard to the demonstrated and suspected effects of dioxins on mammalian fertility, embryonic and early childhood development, and other identifiable potential health risks with reference to the background levels of dioxins found in the soils.@

EFFECT: Requires the Department of Health to conduct a review of the medical literature on the effects of dioxins on mammals, with reference to the background levels of dioxins found in the soils  under the joint agency study on dioxins.
