BACKGROUND:

State agencies may purchase materials, supplies, and equipment from vendors and may enter into contracts for services, construction or maintenance.

SUMMARY:

An state executive agency, or official or employee of a state executive agency, may not request vendors or contractors, with which it has contractual relationships, to lobby or contact the Legislature, members of the Legislature, or legislative staff concerning pending or proposed legislation.

FISCAL NOTE:  Not requested.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
