HB 1356 - DIGEST

     Requires a study to determine the number of people in the state of Washington receiving low-income housing assistance for both renting and purchasing dwellings.

     Requires the study to also include information relating to what type of households receive aid, the number of recipients in each county receiving housing assistance, the qualifications needed to receive housing assistance, the age and household income of the people receiving aid, and who is distributing the aid and in what amounts.

     Directs the committees to report back with their findings prior to January 1, 1998.
