HB 1448 - DIGEST

     Provides that, when at least one state-wide measure or office is scheduled to appear on the primary or general election ballot, the secretary of state shall print and distribute a voters' pamphlet.

     Directs the secretary of state to distribute the voters' pamphlet to each household and to state and county officers and public libraries, and to reserve a supply for additional distribution.

     Requires taped or Braille transcripts of the voters' pamphlet.

     Authorizes the secretary of state to make the material required to be distributed by this act available to the public in electronic form.

     Repeals provisions of chapter 29.80 and 29.81 RCW.
