HB 1687 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 2ND SUB)

     Provides for a reduction in the penalties against employers.

     Creates a joint task force to study the reorganization of employment reporting requirements so that the office of support enforcement receives employment information from state agencies such as the employment security department rather than from employers, who have already filed such information with state agencies.  The task force shall develop a form for employers that collects all information required by the state for all employee reporting.

     Directs the task force to report to the relevant committees of the legislature by February 1, 1998.
