     Declares an intent of the legislature that the newly created department of trade and economic development exercise the responsibilities and authorities of the prior department of trade and economic development, along with several new economic development responsibilities that were authorized for the department of community, trade, and economic development after its creation.

     Declares an intent of the legislature that the department of community, trade, and economic development, which is renamed as the department of community development, retain the responsibilities and authorities of the prior department of community development, along with several additional community development responsibilities authorized for the department of community, trade, and economic development after its creation.
