SB 6526 - DIGEST

     Declares an intent to facilitate the ability of grandparents and great grandparents to obtain visitation with their grandchildren.  The intent of this legislation is to revise the statutes regarding when grandparents and great grandparents have standing to petition for visitation so that they can bring independent actions for visitation, and to revise the holdings of In re Troxel, 87 Wn.App. 131 (1997); and In re Custody of B.S.Z.-S., 74 Wn.App. 727 (1994).
