     On page 53, line 10, after Aact).@ insert the following:

ANEW SECTION. Sec. 1403. A new section is added to chapter 76.09 RCW to read as follows:

     Nothing in this act shall impair existing water rights.@

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

Effect: Protects existing water rights.
