EFFECT:  (1) Requires that a juvenile convicted of certain class A sex offenses follow the same registration requirements as adults and may not be relieved of the duty to register until they have spent 10 consecutive years in the community crime free.  In addition, similar to adults, the court may not relieve any person of the duty to register if the person has been convicted of one or more prior convictions for a sex offense or a sex offense involving sexual intercourse with a victim through the use of force or threat of serious violence, or an offense involving certain minors.

    (2) Specifies that the 2-year time period during which certain juvenile offenders must not have committed any new sex or kidnapping offenses in order to be relieved of the duty to register begins after the period of supervision is over, whether it is local supervision or supervision by DSHS.
