     On page 2, line 22 of the amendment, strike Acougar population or public safety need@ and insert Anumber of cougars in response to public safety needs or in response to livestock or pet depredations@

EFFECT: Allows the fish and wildlife commission to authorize the use of hounds to address a specific number of cougars in response to public safety need or in response to livestock of pet depredations, rather than to address a cougar population or public safety need.
