     On page 58, line 3, reduce the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2001 by $985,000

     On page 58, line 26, correct the total accordingly

     On page 59, after line 18, insert the following:

A(6) Amounts provided in this section in support of the Washington State apprenticeship and training council are contingent on council compliance with federal regulations regarding unilateral program access to the state apprenticeship system, including Title 29 CFR parts 29 (labor standards for the registration of apprenticeship programs) and 30 (equal employment opportunities in apprenticeship training).@

EFFECT: Provides funding for the Department of Labor and Industries for apprenticeship and training council support for fiscal 2000 only.  Requires that funding is provided contingent on compliance with federal regulations governing unilateral program access.

FISCAL IMPACT:  Reduces General Fund-State by $985,000.
