     On page 7, line 28 of the amendment, after "practices."  insert "If appropriate, the committee shall recommend changes to the current definition of excess cost or to the method of distribution of safety net funding."

EFFECT:  In the special education study conducted by JLARC, the committee will, if appropriate, recommend changes to the current definition of excess cost or to the method of distribution of safety net funding.

FISCAL IMPACT:  None.
