Background:
The Office of Financial Management (OFM) has a central role in budget planning, policy development, and fiscal administration for the executive branch of state government. The OFM prepares the executive budget proposals, maintains the statewide accounting system and central books of accounts, and conducts policy research. Official state census estimates and forecast trends are prepared by the OFM. The OFM also prepares statistical and narrative documents on state programs and issues.
Summary of Bill:
Each year the OFM must compile a list of all taxes and fees that the state is authorized to levy. The annual list must cite the statute that authorizes each tax or fee.
