Brief Description:  Changing alternative bid processes for public hospital districts.

Background:

Most governmental entities are permitted to use a "small works roster process" in lieu of the sealed bid process to award contracts for certain public works projects, usually projects under a specified dollar value.  For public hospital districts, the small works roster process is permitted for contracts in excess of $50,000, rather than less than $50,000.

Summary:

The value of contracts that public hospital districts may award using the small works roster process is altered from projects with an estimated value in excess of $50,000 to projects estimated to cost less than $50,000.
