Title:  An act relating to the WorkFirst program participation exemption;  and amending RCW 74.08A.270.

Brief Description:  Modifying good cause reasons for failure to participate in the WorkFirst program.

Background:  The WorkFirst program provides a good cause exemption from participating in program components for recipients with children under twelve months of age.  After June 30, 1999, the exemption for a child will change from twelve months of age to three months of age.

Summary of Bill:  The good cause exemption from participation in WorkFirst program components for recipients with a child at twelve months of age is continued.

Appropriation:  None.

Fiscal Note:  None requested.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
