BACKGROUND:

The building code council is comprised of fifteen members consisting of local government representatives, and industry professionals.  Ex-officio members are also appointed as non-voting members representing the state.

SUMMARY:

The state director of fire protection is added to the list of members included as ex-officio, non-voting members.

FISCAL NOTE:  Not requested.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
