Title:  An act relating to permit coordination.

Background:  The Community Economic Revitalization Board is authorized to make direct loans to political subdivisions of the state to assist in the cost of financing public facilities.  This includes the development and improvement of land and construction or improvement of public facilities.

 

Summary of Bill:  The Community Economic Revitalization Board is authorized to make grants to political subdivisions for costs of facilitation and collaborative procedures for projects specified under SB 5265.  SB 5265 provides for rural counties to identify one community revitalization project per year or industrial project of statewide significance and conduct a collaborative procedure to make permit determinations for the project that involves the relevant state permitting agencies.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Requested on February 5, 1999.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
