Allowing the department of labor and industries to adopt rules to protect employee tips.

    AN ACT Relating to compensation paid to tipped employees of eating and drinking establishments; and adding a new section to chapter 49.48 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 49.48 RCW to read as follows:

    The department of labor and industries shall adopt rules concerning the protection of employee tips in eating and drinking establishments.
