HB 2610 - DIGEST

     Directs the joint legislative audit and review committee to conduct a study of the types of residential services provided to certain children in the care of the department of social and health services.  The review shall include residential services provided to children served by the children's administration of the department of social and health services.

     Requires the joint legislative audit and review committee to report the results of the study to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature by December 1, 2001.

     Makes an appropriation of two hundred fifty thousand dollars from the general fund to the joint legislative audit and review committee for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001, to carry out the purposes of this act.
