SB 5930 - DIGEST

     Provides that the department shall, to the extent that funds are available, extend the existing maternity care access program that is designed to ensure healthy child development and to reduce child abuse and neglect.  The program shall provide extended maternity care services to at-risk eligible persons and their children, up to age three, to the maximum extent allowable under the medical assistance program, Title XIX of the federal social security act.

     Declares that there may be credited against the tax imposed by chapter 82.04 RCW any amount donated to the maternity care endowment fund, as created in this act.

     Makes appropriations of unspecified amounts to carry out the purposes of this act.
