     On page 2, after line 27, insert A(b) A charitable or nonprofit organization that conducts bingo games using linked electronic terminals may not share facilities with or lease or sub-lease premises from or to any organization, establishment, business, or person operating a retail sales or service business catering to the public and licensed by the commission for the purpose of operating a card room.  This subsection does not apply to charitable or nonprofit organizations licensed as of January 1, 2001, to conduct bingo and approved by the commission as of January 1, 2001, to lease space to or from an organization, establishment, business, or person operating a retail sales or service business catering to the public and licensed by the commission for the purpose of operating a card room.

EFFECT:  The amendment:(1) prohibits a nonprofit organization that conducts electronic bingo from co-locating with a card room; (2) exempts a nonprofit now leasing space to or from a card room; and (3) clarifies the number of days per week electronic bingo may be conducted.
