     On page 2, line 6, after "child" insert "or dependent person"

EFFECT: Adds language regarding dependent persons in order to make language consistent throughout the bill: A reasonable effort does not include an action where the person who has abused or assaulted a child or dependent person has used a threat to induce the other person to not report the assault or abuse or otherwise not come to the aid of the child or dependent person.
