     On page 9, after line 33, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  No later than September 1, 2004, the joint legislative and audit review committee shall review the effect of section 1(1)(ww) and section 1(1)(aaa) of this act on state agency performance in responding to requests for disclosure of records under this chapter. In conducting this review the joint legislative audit and review committee shall select a representative sample of requests for public disclosure, and the agencies' responses to those requests, from up to five state agencies.  The joint legislative audit and review committee shall report its findings to the legislature no later than November 30, 2004."

Correct the title.

EFFECT: Requires the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) to review the effect of the public disclosure exemptions established by this bill on state agency performance in responding to public disclosure requests.  Specifies JLARC is to choose a representative sample from up to five agencies of requests to public disclosure and corresponding responses.  Requires a report to the Legislature on the JLARC review by November 30, 2004.
