     On page 6, after line 3, insert the following:

     "NEW SECTION. Sec. 5.  A new section is added to chapter 84.56 RCW to read as follows:

     Rates and charges authorized by a county legislative authority under RCW 36.89.080 shall:

     (1) Appear on each applicable tax statement and shall be collected separately from all other taxes extended upon the tax rolls of the county as authorized under RCW 84.56.020; and

     (2) Be payable at the same time all other taxes upon real and personal property are due and payable."

     Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Directs county legislative authority to collect storm water management rates and charges separately from real and personal property taxes.
