     On page 2, line 28 of the amendment, after Acommittee.@ insert AA legislator designated as a member of the monitoring oversight committee pursuant to this subsection may designate an alternate legislator to serve on the oversight committee in his or her place.  The alternate legislator must be a member of the same standing committee listed in this subsection as the legislator who is designating the alternate.@

EFFECT: Allows legislators who serve on the monitoring oversight committee to designate an alternate legislator who is a member of the same standing committee to serve in his or her place on the oversight committee.
