     On page 60, after line 22, insert the following:

A(5) The department shall not use any monies appropriated in this act for the purpose of establishing telephone centers or call-in centers for public assistance applicants for the purpose of determining eligibility for food stamps, medical assistance, child care, general assistance and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.@

EFFECT: Prohibits the department from using monies for telephone  centers for determining public assistance eligibility.
