    On page 3, after line 22, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 3.  This act shall not take effect until the department of health and the state board of health conduct a study of the provisions of this act as provided in RCW 18.120.010(2) and report the findings back to the legislature.  The study shall also include, at a minimum, a review of chiropractic training to perform the provisions of this act.  The study may also include such other items as the secretary of the department of health deems appropriate.  The secretary of the department of health must impanel a study group of postgraduate trained experts with sufficient background and training to conduct this study.  If any provision of this act should in any part fail to receive a positive recommendation in the study, then by September 1, 2003, the governor must declare this act is null and void."

    On page 1, line 1 of the title, after "care;" strike "and" and on line 2, after "18.25.006" insert "; and providing a contingent effective date"

EFFECT:  This amendment would require a sunrise type review that is normally conducted on a bill of this type.
