Majority Report:  That Substitute Senate Bill No. 6347 be substituted therefor, and the substitute bill do pass.

Background:  The Transportation Budget makes appropriations to the Department of Transportation, the Washington State Patrol, the Department of Licensing, the Transportation Improvement Board, and the County Road Administration Board.

The total appropriation for the 2001-2003 biennium was $3.715 billion.

Summary of Bill:  Project-specific appropriations are made to the Department of Transportation for preservation and improvement projects.  The total appropriation is approximately $1.24 billion for the 2001-2003 biennium.

Effective Date:  The bill contains an emergency clause and takes effect immediately, only if Engrossed Substitute House Bill 2969 becomes law.
