Title:  An act relating to permits for a conditional use or variance issued by local governments under approved master programs pursuant to the shoreline management act.

 

Brief Description:  Eliminating the authority of the department of ecology to impose conditions on conditional use or variance permits issued under the shoreline management act.

Background:  The Department of Ecology can establish conditions on conditional use and variances issued by local governments under the Shoreline Management Act. 

 

Summary of Bill:  The authority of the Department of Ecology to impose conditions on conditional use or various permits issued by local governments under the Shoreline Management Act is eliminated.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Requested on February 1, 2002.

 

Effective Date:  The bill contains an emergency clause and takes effect May 1, 2002.
