HB 3010 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Declares that the select committee on pension policy has the following powers and duties:  (1) Study pension issues, develop pension policies for public employees in state retirement systems, and make recommendations to the legislature; and

     (2) Study the financial condition of the state pension systems, develop funding policies, and make recommendations to the legislature.

     (3) The state actuary shall conduct a benefit survey of selected other state retirement systems and shall report results of the study to the select committee on pension policy by December 2002.

     Repeals RCW 44.44.015, 44.44.050, and 44.44.060.
