   On page 20, after line 23, insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 17. By December 1, 2005, the department of labor and industries shall report to the senate committee on commerce and trade and the house committee on commerce and labor, or successor committees, on the implementation of this act, including but not limited to the effects of this act on injured worker outcomes, claim costs, and disputed claims.

   NEW SECTION. Sec. 18. Sections 1 through 17 of this act take effect July 1, 2003.

   NEW SECTION. Sec. 19. Sections 1 through 17 of this act expire June 30, 2006."

   Renumber the remaining section consecutively.

   Correct the title.

EFFECT:

•         Requires the Department of Labor and Industries to report to the Senate Commerce and Trade Committee and to the House Commerce and Labor Committee by December 1, 2005, on the implementation of the act, including the effects of the act on injured worker outcomes, claim costs, and disputed claims.

   •     Adds an effective date and an expiration date for sections giving advanced registered nurse practitioners nearly the same roles and responsibilities as physicians.
