On page 7, after line 32, insert the following:
"Sec. 8. RCW 66.44.292 and 1981 1st ex.s. c 5 s 23 are each amended to read as follows:
(1) The Washington state liquor control board shall furnish notification of any hearing or hearings held, wherein any licensee or his employee is found to have sold liquor to a minor, to the prosecuting attorney of the county in which the sale took place, upon which the prosecuting attorney may formulate charges against said minor or minors for such violation of RCW 66.44.290 as may appear.
(2) An employee of a state liquor store who violates RCW 66.44.270 may be fined fifty dollars for the first violation and one hundred dollars for each subsequent violation.
(3) The liquor control board shall close state liquor stores or impose a monetary penalty as set forth in subsection (4) of this section, if the board finds that employees of the store have violated RCW 66.44.270.
(4) Penalties imposed against a state liquor store whose employees violate RCW 66.44.270 are as follows:
(a) A monetary penalty of one hundred dollars for the first violation within any two-year period;
(b) A monetary penalty of three hundred dollars for the second violation within any two-year period;
(c) A monetary penalty of one thousand dollars and closure of the state liquor store for a period of six months for the third violation within any two-year period;
(d) A monetary penalty of one thousand five hundred dollars and closure of the state liquor store for a period of twelve months for the fourth violation within any two-year period; and
(e) Closure of the state liquor store for a period of five years for the fifth or more violation within any two-year period."
Correct the title.
