   On page 14, line 32, increase the General Fund-State Appropriation for FY 2004 by $90,000.

   On page 14, line 34, increase the General Fund-State Appropriation for FY 2005 by $335,000.

   On page 15, line 31, correct the total.

   On page 24, after line 33, insert the following:

   "(35) $90,000 of the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2004 and $335,000 of the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2005 are provided solely for pass through to the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) to develop, coordinate, and implement a statewide 2010 Olympics strategic plan in coordination with the Vancouver, British Columbia 2010 Olympics Hosting Committee and PNWER member states and provinces. PNWER shall submit a preliminary six-year statewide and PNWER regional business plan to the governor and the legislature for consideration by December 31, 2004. PNWER may contract with the department to develop the plan."

EFFECT: Provides funding for pass through to the Pacific Northwest Economic Region to develop and coordinate a plan for Washington to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $425,000.
