On page 1, line 7, after "Sec. 1." strike all material through "growth." on line 17

On page 2, at the beginning of line 5, insert the following:

"The legislature recognizes the importance of serving individuals with developmental disabilities in the communities in which they reside. The legislature finds that using these excess properties to provide services in the community will promote the integration and independence of individuals with developmental disabilities and will enable these individuals to avoid reliance on institutional services."

EFFECT: Deletes certain legislative findings; adds a declaration about the importance of serving individuals with developmental disabilities in the community; and adds a finding that using the excess RHC properties for this purpose will promote independence and integration of individuals with developmental disabilities.
