Background:
An automobile liability insurance policy is defined by statute as one that insures against losses resulting from liability for bodily injury, death, or property damage related to the use of an automobile. Such policies are regulated by the Insurance Commissioner.
Summary of Bill:
New, or renewed, automobile liability insurance policies offered by an insurer must include coverage for the "actual cost" of accident-related tow truck services.

Effective Date: The bill takes effect ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
