   On page 2, after line 10, strike section 2.

   On page 3, after line 31, insert the following:

   "(5) The join task force will evaluate the June 30, 2000 suspension of employer and member contributions in the law enforcement officers' and fire fighters' retirement system plan 1. The joint task force shall make its recommendations regarding employer and member contributions utilizing the most recent valuation study for the plan."

   Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Removes the section of the bill that would reinstate employer and employee contributions to LEOFF Plan 1 and directs the joint task force established in the bill to study the matter of LEOFF Plan 1 contributions.
