Background: The Washington Wildlife Rescue Coalition was created in 1990 following the Exxon Valdez and Nastucca oil spills. At that time, the local, state, and federal responsibilities were not well defined. Since that time, there has been federal law on the subject of wildlife, and the state's role has changed. There is a whole series of state and federal protocols to deal with this issue.
Summary of Bill: The Coalition statute is repealed (RCW 90.56.100).
