BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1 A new section is added to chapter 4.24 RCW
to read as follows:
No cause of action shall be maintained for civil damages in any
court of this state against any radio or television broadcasting
station or cable television system, or the employees, officers,
directors, managers, or agents of the radio or television broadcasting
station or cable television system, based on the broadcast of
information including, but not limited to, the name or description of

pursuant to the voluntary broadcast notification system commonly known
