On page 1, after line 3 of the amendment, strike all material through "tree." on line 19, and insert the following:
"The biofuels advisory committee established under RCW 19.112.150 shall study the use of biodiesel fuel derived from palm oil, its potential impact on the Washington biofuels industry, and whether Washington produced biodiesel fuel derived from palm oil should be considered an alternative fuel for purposes of this chapter. The committee shall report its findings to the legislature and the governor as part of its recommendations by September 1, 2007."

EFFECT: Requires the Biofuels Advisory Committee to study the use of biodiesel fuel derived from palm oil and its potential impact on the Washington biofuels industry. Requires the Committee to review whether biodiesel fuel derived from palm oil should be considered an alternative fuel for purposes of the Motor Fuel Quality Act. Specifies that the committee must report its findings to the Legislature and the Governor by September 1, 2007.
