   On page 1, beginning on line 14, after "function," strike all material through "RCW" on line 17 and insert "another school district through an agreement under chapter 39.34 RCW, or the state treasurer to act as the district treasurer"

   On page 5, beginning on line 21, after "designate" strike all material through "serve" on line 22 and insert "the state treasurer to act"

EFFECT: Removes the authority of school districts and ESDs to designate another person with experience in financial matters to serve as a district treasurer, so that only the district, another school district, or an ESD can be so designated. Allows designation of the State Treasurer as district treasurer.
