   On page 1, line 8 of the amendment, after "may be" strike "contracted by the governor" and insert "openly and competitively contracted by the governor in accordance with chapter 39.29 RCW"

EFFECT: Provides that, with respect to the Governor contracting the office of the ombudsman, the contracting process must be openly and competitively contracted in accordance with current law governing personal services contracts.
