   On page 9, line 27 of the striking amendment, after "applicant" strike all material through "2007" on line 33

   On page 10, after line 21 of the striking amendment, strike all material through "2007." on line 31

EFFECT: Removes the authorization for a creditor to consider whether a person is a covered member (certain military personnel) or a dependent of a covered member in connection with an application for consumer credit. Removes the subsection establishing that it is not an unfair practice or a denial of civil rights for a creditor to refuse to offer, deny, to offer different terms and conditions, or to otherwise place restrictions on an extension of consumer credit offered to or entered into with a covered member or a dependent of a covered member.
