On page 32, after line 19, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 306 A new section is added to chapter 72.09
RCW to read as follows:
The department of corrections shall create and maintain a statewide
web site of offenders who are participating in an individual reentry
plan, or who have participated in an individual reentry plan, who have
escaped or absconded, which shall be available to the public. The web
site shall contain, but not be limited to, the offender's name,
physical description, photograph, relevant criminal convictions, and
last known address by hundred block. The web site shall allow citizens
to search for offenders who have escaped or absconded within the state
of Washington by county, city, zip code, last name, and type of
conviction."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Requires DOC to create and maintain a statewide web site of offenders who have escaped or absconded which is available to the public.
