On page 26, line 23, after "(c)" insert the following:
"(i) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this section, for
offenses committed on or after the effective date of this act, an
offender who fails to satisfactorily comply with his or her individual
reentry plan may not receive any amount of earned release unless the
victim consents to the earned release. If the victim is deceased or
incompetent, the consent of a family member must be obtained before any
earned release may be granted.
(ii) For the purposes of this section, "family member" means a
relative by blood, marriage, or adoption, or a foster parent.
(d)"
Correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Requires that before an offender may be granted any amount of earned release for offenses committed on or after the effective date of this act, the victim must consent to the earned release. If the victim is deceased or incompetent, a family member must provide the consent.
