On page 34, after line 26, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 308 A new section is added to chapter 9.94A
RCW to read as follows:
The department of corrections must provide proportionate and
reasonably adequate personnel and resources and make reasonably
diligent efforts to actively pursue and reacquire offenders who are
participating in an individual reentry plan, or who have participated
in an individual reentry plan, who have escaped or absconded."
Correct the title.
EFFECT: Requires the Department of Corrections to provide proportionate and reasonably adequate personnel and resources and to make reasonably diligent efforts to actively pursue and reacquire offenders who have escaped or absconded and who are participating, or who have participated, in an IRP.
