On page 24, after line 34, insert the following:
"(ii) In the case of an offender convicted of a serious violent
offense committed on or after the effective date of this act who is
participating in an individual reentry plan established under section
203 of this act, the aggregate earned release time may not exceed five
percent of the sentence."
EFFECT: Reduces the maximum amount of earned release to 5% (from 10%) of his or her sentence for an offender who commits a serious violent offense on or after the effective date of the act when the offender is participating in an IRP.
