   On page 8, after line 24, insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec.7. The health care authority shall conduct a study to quantify the cost savings to the state and consumers of prohibiting the collection of prescriber identifiable data for the purposes of marketing. The report shall be delivered to the governor and appropriate committees of the legislature by December 1, 2010."

   Renumber the remaining sections accordingly and correct    internal references accordingly.

   On page 8, line 25, after "through" strike "5" and insert "6"

EFFECT: Requires the health care authority to study the cost savings to the state, if any, from prohibiting the collection of prescriber identifiable information for the purposes of marketing.
