   On page 8, after line 24, insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 7. The joint legislative audit and review committee shall conduct a study to determine the impact of the ban on collecting prescriber identifiable information for marketing purposes on biotech and research institutes operating in the state of Washington. The committee shall report their findings and conclusions to the governor and the appropriate committees of the senate and house of representatives by December 1, 2010."

   Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

   On page 8, line 25, after "through" strike "5" and insert "6"

EFFECT: Requires JLARC to study the impact of banning the collection of prescriber information for marketing purposes on the State's biotech and research industries.
